Scott Barber - FMS Service Manager
At the age of nine, FMS Service Manager Scott Barber knew he wanted to be involved with motor sports. A native of rural Minnesota, he worked summers and after school sweeping floors at a local motorcycle dealer. Before long, we was racing motocross and riding anything he could with two wheels. His love of cycling continued though college and he continued to work for the local dealership in their service and parts departments whenever possible, doing routine maintenance to major engine over-hauls.
After graduating from University of Wisconsin and earning a BA in Business Administration, Scott continued his power-sports career for the next several years by working in motorcycle dealerships in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area. He has been a Service Tech, Service Advisor, Parts Manager, and has over 12 years of expertise as a Service Manager. Scott relocated to Virginia 5 years ago and worked in powersports in the D.C. and Fredericksburg area. He joined the staff of Fredericksburg Motor Sports as Service Manager in September.
“My commitment is to have every one of our FMS service customers leave here with a smile,” Scott said in a recent interview. “They deserve our best and we are dedicated to giving it to them.”
Scott and his children are still avid motor sports enthusiasts and he enjoys his weekends and free time riding and racing both street and off-road machines. He enjoys the outdoors and also likes camping and fishing. Scott is a member of the Advisor Board of The Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, FL where he assists with the curriculum.
